JULIA'S MEDITATION
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
If you love God, God will love you back. If you make God happy, by treating people happily, peacefully and spiritually, that makes God happy.
God looks at what’s on the inside of somebody. And He also looks to see if you are treating other people like they are your family; peacefully, happily.
God never looks at what’s on the outside of people. He looks on the inside of people.
God is here. If God hadn’t have saved my life for a reason, I wouldn’t be here. God was there when I had my accident. He made sure my girls weren’t there and he saved me.

ENOCH
The story of my life
By Enoch Phillip Fellenberger, Jr.
My first memory is when I lost my finger. I was four years old, and my sister and her girlfriend slammed my finger in a bedroom door. They were heavy set girls and it just came right off and I passed out.
I went up North quite a few times with my father. He bought a log cabin. He put in a cement floor and I helped him put it in and I got to write “Little Enoch” in the cement, since I was Little Enoch at the time. I was outgoing, misbehaving, a normal teenager. We had an ATV with six balloon tires with paddles on the wheels. It had a canvas top. It could float right across the lake or on land. I used to go fishing in it, with my dad.
Me and my best friend, Bobby Wyatt, stole my dad’s antique convertible, a ’65 Buick Riviera Convertible, and drove all over town. And we parked it at a pinball joint and somebody saw it and told my dad, and we got in trouble. I’ve been in many car shows with my father and his antique cars.
I was 15 when I had my accident. I got hit by a car on a foggy winter night. There was about three feet of snow on the ground. This took place in Ann Arbor, Michigan; my hometown. It was January, I think the 27th. 1982. I was smoking pot that I got from Shaky Jake. He’s a bum in Ann Arbor that is known around the world. He made t-shirts with himself on them and now he’s a millionaire but he still lives on the street, not in a house. I was walking. I was either coming home from or going to Chuckey Cheese, crossing the intersection of Stadium and Liberty.
Bobby was with me and he saw the accident. His mom took him out of school and he was with me every day when I was in a coma. I had a severe hematoma in my brain. I had a G-tube, a tracheotomy, an IV, and surgery on my brain to relieve the hematoma, which is a blood clot in my brain. I was in a coma six months and 28 days. The doctors told my family to make funeral arrangements because there was no hope. My family used to come and talk to me but I never could hear them. When you are in a coma, it is like being asleep with no dreams.
When I first opened my eyes, my mother is who I saw, and I started to cry. I was in a lot of pain. But I cried with relief seeing my family and friends. I couldn’t walk, talk, or move my arms or legs. I saw all my family gathered around. I was scared because I didn’t know what I had sticking out of me, all the tubes and stuff. I couldn’t talk because of the tracheotomy. But my whole family, uncles, cousins, mom, dad, brothers and sisters, were cheering me on saying I would make it.
I had a lot of contractures from being in the fetal position for seven months. They had to stretch me out. I used to be in tears when I went to PT. They had to take a medical hammer and chisel and chip away calcium deposits at my left elbow and right hip. I still have scars from the surgeries.
Just recently, Bobby visited me on his motorcycle with his wife and kids. They had no idea I was living here until one of the staff that knew his mother told her, and then he looked it up on the internet and came to see me. He made a surprising entrance to my group home. I looked up and saw him and started crying with joy and happiness. I had no idea he was coming. My mom and him kept it a secret. We went out to eat. I don’t recall the restaurant.
Bobby brought me a t-shirt that he made for me. The t-shirt has a picture of him and I on the front. And on the back is a poem he wrote for me when I was in my coma. It is about my injury and the love we have for each other. He made a T-shirt for me with the poem on the back.
Me and his dream was to travel the world on our motorcycles, but I didn’t get to do it. He did though. He drove his motorcycle to come and see me, and his wife and his kids rode on the other, which was a three-wheeler.
Bobby’s Poem
To My Best Friend Enoch
My dear friend Enoch today
I stood at your side
Looking down on you
I shook and nearly cried
As I look back in memory
Recalling good times shared together
It crossed my mind that
They may be fading forever
Then I realized that
this could never be
you and I have so much
of this world left to see
Standing there silently
With my head slightly bowed
I can almost hear
Your thoughts speak aloud
For the first time
I seem to see you smile
As if to say I’ll be ok
In just a little while
All your loved ones gathered around you.
All of those who know and care
They gave you love support and hope
Though never sure you were aware
Though many tears have fallen
And many prayers were said
Deep in our hearts we always knew
That you’d come out ahead
And when I moved here to Tennessee I went to BINGO with my mother and I won one thousand dollars all by myself. I started crying and my mom said not to cry but it was the most money I have ever won. My mom lives on the top of Roan Mountain with her boyfriend. He has a Corvette that is one one of three in the world.

Brahm's Question (Part 3 of 4)
With his hoard growing to about the size of ten million in gems and gold and assorted treasures, it also brought some unwanted popularity and thus came the thieves. The first ten or twenty he would just crush with an appendage because he couldn't waste his "breath weapon" for every little threat. One thing he knew was that he always could hire a powerful wizard to cast some magical traps on his hoard. But he knew that so far these first little minor attempts of theft on his hoard was not his greatest challenge.
He had heard of a priest of Mask who had been plundering and gaining fame and fortune and experience. So he was just wondering when he would have a visit from the priest/thief. It was at that time that he heard a barely audible noise. Then he heard someone start stepping on some of the outer reaches of his gold which was the end of his hoard. And then he finally caught a glimpse of a moving shadow and it had kind of mystified him that this creature had entered under the radar of his nostrils. This shadow had confiscated a little of the hoard, so he had pretty much signed his death warrant.
Brahm was tired of playing games now, so he decided that he would take the next opportunity and blast this fool off this plane of existence. And so he acted like he was sleepy and he laid down on his hoard to get a face-to-face level view with this thief. And as the thief came over the next mound of treasure, Brahm hit him with a full frontal blast of fire as hot as that from the ninth level of hell. With the destruction of the thief he inadvertently made a gold mold of the thief's outline crawling across the hoard. Brahm's 20/0.1 vision picked up something that didn't belong in his cave and it was a holy symbol of Mask where the thief had obviously removed it and hung it to get back after he had stolen his bounty. So this was the new upstart thief of Mask. What a classic end to a pilfering plot, and Brahm got a new addition to the hoard…a little holy symbol of Mask.

The Black Stallion
There was once a black stallion that a cowboy saw everyday he worked on the range. One day the cowboy thought he would break him and ride him. The cowboy watched him for about a week, and then decided to try and catch him. He succeeded, but the cowboy was not expecting the challenge that he faced when trying to break him for riding. One day the cowboy finally caught him and brought him home to his ranch. Every day the cowboy would go work the horse and try to get him broke to ride. One morning the cowboy finally realized, "Hey I can do this if I just go back and earn the horse's trust." It was a long hard fight, but he knew that he could do it so he went back to the old ways of doing things. The longer he worked with the horse, the more the cowboy realized that no matter how much he wanted to break him to ride, the horse may not want to be broke. If you try to break their spirit, it not only won't ride, but it will break their spirits. Some horses are meant to be free and not meant to be broke because every horse has a heart and a soul, but if you are a good enough cowboy you can break them to ride.
The Rodeo
A young cowboy enters his first rodeo and he knows it's going to be a challenge. He waits for the moment until it's his turn to ride. As he is getting down on his bull his nerves finally well up in him like a fire. He gets ready pulls his rope and nods his head. The gate cracks open and the bull comes out kicking and bucking. The rider says he is like a tornado; you are not trying break his spirit, you're trying to stay with him jump for jump. Every time that bull would jump the young cowboy's fear would rise higher and higher, the whistle blows and he has made his ride. The young cowboy has finally lived one of his dreams and he realizes, "Hey, I'm actually good at something." Before he enters the ring he kneels and prays to God for a safe ride.
I wish...
I wish that I could see my father again
I wish that we had more time together
I wish the OT students luck as they go forth to other things in their lives
I wish for a leading role in a movie
I wish I could tame my partner Blade just a little bit and say "calm down…it's just a radio show"
I wish that we could solve the Gulf problem with the oil spill which we're just about there
I wish that we could stop fights in a split second, but I know that can't happen

Justin's Metaphors
Because I am always ready for the day
Life is like a canary
Because we live life just once
I am like a cardinal
Because cardinals are outstanding
My life is like a jump rope
Because when I am so busy it jumps out
Friends are like tulips
Because they care for one another
Family is like a huge hug happening
Because when you're with family it's just loving

Brahm's Beginning (Part 2 of 4)
As Brahm started coming of age, he couldn’t help but notice his supremacy and especially in his studies at the magic institute. But hormones and other chemical changes in his body were making some strange occurrences in him such as his fangs falling out and new adamantium fangs coming in to replace them. And the lump on his tail was filled with an adamantium center. He found he could use it as an impenetrable weapon. His wings were growing adamantium tips. He was becoming a Juggernaut of death and destruction. But he really wasn’t reveling in his new-found ability for he knew all too well “pride cometh before a fall.”

Spanish
Justin H.
The Spanish class is like a refresher course from middle school. And from the minute I heard Spanish, I was interested in it. We’re just takin’ it step by step. And whenever we get a chance, my OTS and I talk Spanish. And I’m catchin’ back onto it slowly but surely, week by week. Yes, I’m using my cheat-sheets some. So I can stay on top of the Spanish words Jennifer’s given us to study. It has been a blast. I plan to use these when it’s all over and stay current on it with my family and Mexican friends.

Playing on the Playground
Justin H.
The bear slid down the slide and smelled a sweet smell. It was a flower. And he said, "What's that smell? I couldn't get the nectar out of that sweet-smelling flower." And he knew right then after he smelled again, he was thirsty for some cool, clear, clean water. At that point the mamma bear said, "Let's try a water fountain and we can get water out of the water fountain." And he said, "Cool beans! This may work." Then as soon as they turned the knob, he couldn't believe how the water flowed out of there. And after getting a drink, he wanted to go on the playground again and go through the tunnel and get to the other side of the slide, so mamma bear said, "Hey! This may be fun. Why don't you let me try it with you?" So they tried together. And it worked. And then they noticed a swing-set, one on each side of each other. And they started swinging. Like always, she said, "Son, be careful of what you do on the playground." And so they were swinging together having fun. It was a tire swing and the tire went flat. And knocked the bear off balance. And he asked, "Why? Why did the tire go flat?" So he got on the slide again to get to this one huge flower he'd been wanting to give his mamma. And he picked it and took it to her. And she said, "How'd you know I wanted this flower?" And he told her, "It had your bear prints instead of hand prints all over it so I just slid and picked" and she said, "well, I'm so amazed that you found what I was looking for."
OT
Justin H.
OT IS IMPOTANT TO THE CRUMLEY HOUSE. IT HELPS WITH ARM MOBILITY AND IT ALSO HELPS WITH THE DAILY SKILLS OF LIFE. JUST AS I HAVE LEARNED IN PLANNING A TRIP TO CHARLOTTE, IT ALSO CAN STRENGTHEN VACATION PLANNING. IN CLOSING, OT HAS REALLY BEEN A BIG BLESSING TO CRUMLEY HOUSE, SO I DECIDED TO WRITE ABOUT IT IN THIS ENTRY. THERE'S MANY MORE ENTRIES TO COME, BUT FOR NOW, I'M GONNA SAY "BYE."

Through the Years
Through the Years
By Justin H.
The Nascar Hall of Fame in
I’m gonna get to go visit …don’t know when …
I’ve always wanted to go check it out, ever since I heard there was one.
I don’t know the date, but I know when….. I know that I’m going.
On my birthday, I had received the official Nascar Hall of Fame Hat. It’s sitting on my desk as we speak.
I plan to take many pictures while I’m there, hopin’ to have the experience of a lifetime.
The experience will be a fun one.
And I’m just lookin forward to a neat Nascar experience.
I know we’re gonna have a blast when we get there so I’m gonna take the camera with me to capture every moment there.
And every moment will be an experience thriller.
The time of a life has come for Nascar to open its own hall of fame.
Now they have one of their own.
Much like football
Much like basketball
Much like any other sport,
Nascar deserves their place in the history books
And so they will get their opportunity.
1998 saw the 20th year of Earnhardt trying to win the Daytona 500
And that is why I think he deserves to be in the Nascar Hall of Fame
He also was a NASCAR owner
The 8 car of Dale Jr. and the 15 car of Michael Waltrip
At the time, he was on his game plan
Before crashing and dying, he was blocking those two cars to protect his son and driver
He was behind them doing them a huge favor
Whenever you see that big black 3 car, you better get out of his way
Or he’d a hunted you down quick
And fast
His motto was “Lead, follow or get out of the way”
